Buying New Tivo

No, not another question as to where to buy one from.

I'm planning on buying a second hand Tivo, with lifetime sub, and I've been following the threads detailing issues people have had with their accounts going dead when they try to transfer ownership details.

Would the best option be to leave the subscription in the sellers name until Tivo have this sorted, or are there other options?

Yes, leave it alone, and you'll have no problems.

The problem is that Tivo US cannot currently process new UK subscriptions

i.e. can't restart monthlies once lapsed,
and can't transfer lifetime subs (which is a cancel/restart)
