Cutting off transfered recordings?

I am pretty new here but searched and came up empty. Here is my problem. I have an .avi file that I transfer to my tivo. Plays great except it cuts the last two minutes off of the recording. When I check the file on my pc it is fine and shows the last 2 minutes. Does anyone have any ideas why it would do it or what I can do to fix it?

What are you using to transfer it to your Tivo? Tivo Desktop or pyTivo?

Also, does the avi file have any video/audio glitches around the last 2 minutes?

Just because a file plays fine on the computer doesn't always mean it doesn't contain some subtle corruption. PC video players tend to be a little more lenient then the Tivo.

Finally, how big is the avi file?

The avi has no issues, in fact I have done this with about 5 of them so far
The file is about 400mb in size

Not sure what's happening, but you might want to give pyTivo a try.

I've never had problems transferring video to the Tivo with pyTivo (as long as the video file itself wasn't majorly corrupted.)
