Can i play songs from itunes thru tivo?

Tivo can't see the songs i downloaded on itunes. Does this have to do with copyright protection or something? Is there any way i can make tivo see / play the songs? It can only see songs I've pulled off CDs.

If you burn the Protected AAC files to a standard audio CD using iTunes, you can rip them back into unprotected MP3 files with almost any media player.

AAC is a bit more efficient than MP3 so I would go up to 192, 256 or 320kbps when ripping them back to preserve as much audio quality as possible.
