I'm curious if anyone that has the Harmony One working 100% with their Tivo HD. I can't seem to get the Live TV button working properly. It starts off where the Live TV button will change tuners but after a short while stops and brings up the guide instead. I've read on another forum that using the original Tivo remote, going into the Tivo Menu and selecting Live TV fixes the problem, and it does, but only briefly.

I've setup the remote several times, I've tried customizing the buttons, updating the software and firmware... nothing.

How do I get the Live TV button to function as it should with the Tivo HD? How do I get it to switch tuners?

Have you "learned" the Live TV button from your TiVo remote. The way I understand it is that the signal is different. Logitech likely has the older version in thier database. Try learning the IR command directly from the TiVo remote. If that doesn't work try learning as RAW.

I'm pretty sure I did that correctly. Everything is listed as Database except Live TV which has "Your original remote".

I had a similar experience with the power toggle for my TV. I had to dig around for the RAW mode. I have no idea why it is different from what you did and learn as RAW, but it fixed my problem. I am curious to see what actually works, since I see the exact same behavior with my 880.

I keep seeing RAW format/mode mentioned but not entirely sure what it is. Could you please elaborate?

You have to learn the tivo button, not live tv.

I was not sure myself. I did a quick search and found this. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the post, but it seems logical.

Roderigo is correct - you have to learn the TiVo button. Apparently the TiVo button has codes that tell the tivo what kind of remote you have. Logitech has the definiiton of the TiVo button from an older remote. On my old series 1 TiVo, the LiveTV and Guide buttons were combined into one button. The TiVo needs to know what kind of remote you have.

Thanks! That explains why the LiveTV behavior reverts after a few uses, since we are certainly using the TiVo button quite frequently.

Well I went through and manually set EVERY command that Tivo accepts and ignored the ones it doesn't have. It seems to be working correctly now except there is a 2-3 second delay when scrolling through the Tivo menu or channels. Not sure why that is. Is there a way to speed this up?

I appreciate all the input. Thanks a lot for the help.

Update: Disregard my last question. I found the setting in the Troubleshooting section.

Most people had the same problem with their Harmony 880. Here is the thread that discusses the fix on the 2nd page.

I have had no issues whatsoever with my Harmony One. Just upgraded earlier this year and i love it. I did not have to redo any commands...all the standard, logitech db commands work perfectly.

The remote, I think, is the best layout for a harmony yet...love the buttons...and the touch screen!

out of curiousity, what button is everyone using for the "live tv" button on the harmony one? a soft button?

There are some tips for using Harmony remotes in my Using Your TiVo FAQ below.

I use a soft button for live TV myself with the One, and I have no problems at all. I believe I had to learn the function from the Tivo remote though.

I use the menu button as the TiVo button and the exit button for Live TV

Ditto....and there's a button in the Harmony One DB that is called "LiveTV(LiveTV)" -- yes, that is exactly how it is listed -- and it works flawlessly to access live TV and toggle tuners.

I was experiencing the same weird LiveTV not swapping between tuners problem and I fixed it by learning the 'TiVo' button from my TiVo remote.

I noticed that LiveTV worked properly on my Harmony One until I used the Database version of the TiVo button from it. As soon as I did that it went into LiveTV/Guide mode (which I don't care for).

I use the Down button for Live TV and the Up button for 30sec skip. I'm referring to the up/down button that is between the Guide and Exit buttons.

That is what I do also.

I use those up & down buttons for "thumbs up" & "thumbs down".

I think it's interesting to hear how everyone is setting their remotes up.

Menu is Tivo, STOP is Live TV. Works Great. 2 units one with a S3, the other on an HD.
