dhdvr 2 has is recording on its own

my hdvr2 has its on mind after using the instabake to upgrade it to 6.2a it records progrmaes on it own , with out me doing it. also the remote will not work some times some times it works some times not? any ideas ?? thanks in advance

What programs is it recording? Same channel?

For the remote problem, you may have IR interference in the room. Remove all other remotes from the room to eliminate them as a source.

Have you verified that automatic recording of suggestions is turned off?
