I've had a problem where HBO2HD and MoreMaxHD are swapped on my Tivo (702, which should be HBO2HD shows what's on MoreMaxHD and vice versa). So I call RCN Customer (dis)service and after 3 calls and lots of "on hold" time they end up scheduling a service tech appointment. Since the last cable tech they sent to my house could have written all he knew about cable cards and tivo on the back of a postage stamp (with .25" margins), I figured I'd reboot the Tivo to see if that fixed anything. The good news is that when I rebooted the Tivo (which RCN customer disservice didn't tell me to do) it now comes up saying "Acquiring channel information". The bad news is that after an hour it is still saying that (with a couple of "TIVO can't acquire the channel information -- please contact your cable provider messages throw in for good measure). I call RCN Customer disservice and they say that they "sent a strong signal" and that it might take 2 hours.
The problem with all this is I now have no cable TV and since I have to go to work soon, I'm not going to be able to harrass them when this doesn't work, so I probably won't have any cable when i get home either.

I know this is more of a rant than a request, but does anyone have any idea of what I can do or at least tell the Customer disservice rep?
