I recently upgraded to a series 3 hd tivo and upgraded my tivo desktop to the latest version (2.6.2).
Since doing this I've had the mp3 playing randomly stop. If I play a folder it plays fine yet once I skip a track it'll play 1-2 tracks then stop playing all together.
The other issue I'm having is with pausing. If I pause a song and then hit play again, the tivo plays 5 seconds of the song and then cuts to the next track.
This has been driving me crazy, I'd love to know if anyone else is having the same problems and can help me out.

I'm having the exact same problem. I have a wired network and have set TiVo Desktop to have a large buffer and high performance mode.

Does TiVO have an answer to this? I've had this problem for probably six months. In my case, HMO only pauses at the end of songs, and only when I've clicked "forward" a song or two (using Channel Up) to skip songs.

This feature is one of the main reasons I am such a TIVO lover and I am having the exact same issues as you. Now it is almost unusable. Interesting thought about the buffer overflow when paused.... hmmm... gonna have to look into that.
Let me know if anyone has found a workable solution.

I have the exact same problems as described here. Any solutions out there?

I'm having the same problem with mp3 music playback. The music just stops playing and sometimes locks the system.

I also have a Series 3 HD TiVo and am running TiVo Desktop 2.6.2 on a machine dedicated for the task and I am having the same problems as the OP. Is there anyone at TiVo monitoring this thread?

Have you tried Galleon? From what I understand it works a lot better then TiVo Desktop for music streaming.
