After my Tivo HD received the 9.4 software update, my Tivo occasionally loses the HDCP security and tells me to use component video. So I ended up unplugging and replugging the HDMI cable, and that resolves the problem, for a while. It seems that it loses the HDCP when ever I switch to a different video input on my tv, but when I did this in 9.3, I never had a problem.

The HDMI is hooked directly to my Sony Tv. I know as a fact my tv supports HDCP, and no software update are present for the tv yet. As for a temporary fix, I am using the component video cables that was provided, which works just fine. Is there anyway that is problem can be resolved?

---edit---
I have a Sony KDL-464100.

I'd try replacing the HDMI cable and/or seeing if there is a firmware update for your TV. Also it would help to know which Sony TV you have.
I have a Sony Bravia XBR4 and while it sometimes displays the HDCP message after switching inputs, it corrects itself within a few seconds. My S3 is better than my cable box which can take up to 10 seconds to sync it's HDMI.
