Not sure if this is the case everywhere, but here in Kansas City the price is $219 and change. The price sticker has an asterisk which means, I believe, that it is on sale and they don't plan to get anymore.

I looked at the Costco in Ft. Myers, nothing but a Panasonic Directv unit. :down:

So in the end, I opted for the dreaded refurb.

About a month or two ago, several Costco stores in the LA area also had them for $219. AFAIK they are all gone, at least at the 4 stores closest to my house.

So does this mean they're clearing stock for a new revision? Or just a one-off buy from Costco?
