I have been running Series2 DVR's for quite a while with no real problems.
I recently replaced one with an HD DVR. I can see and transfer from my Series2 DVR to the HD DVR and can also see my TIVO Destop from the Series2. I cannot see my HD DVR from the dektop and my desktop cannot see the HD DVR. I have enabled home networking on the DVR and my online account.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob

Check and make sure that transfers are allowed on the web. You can also try to connect to the HD using the web interface at https://ipaddress

The user name is 'tivo' and the password is your MAK (media access key). If that works, then the network is all right.

You can also check TiVo Desktop server properties access control to see if you have any restrictions there. Should be set to allow all local TiVo's. The IP addresses of any found TiVo's will be displayed here, too.

Thanks for the reply.
Got my problem fixed. I had to remove Tivo Desktop and reload about 3 times. The 3rd time I ran regedit and deleted eveything related to TIVO then reloaded. Works fine now.

has anyone had problems with transferring HD programs to your pc and not being able to play them. What do you need to do to get them to play.
