I just got a Sony 40" LCD HDTV (40Z4100). One of the features that excited me was the TV Guide On Screen button on the remote. It's similar to TIVO's guide scroll, select, view, menu but "record" only works for someone with a VCR, and, I believe only while the TV is in "TV air" mode.
The instructions say it can take up to 24 hours for the list to populate. It's been 72 hours now and I'm still getting "Collecting information, check later." and Setup Progress = "In Progress."
I called Sony and they said that the feature does work here on the Big Isle of Hawaii. I've email our local Oceanic Time Warner Road Runner help desk but no reply yet.*
I have a 2-way RF splitter, one cable to the Scientific Atlanta 4250HDC box and the other to the HDTV. I am also using a HDVI cable from the box to the HDTV. Everything works (including the PIP and my AT&T Series 2 TIVO) except for the TV Guide feature.
Any one know if this feature works here in Pahoa, Hawaii? Or with any cable service provider?

* Update: It began working this evening within a couple hours of emailing OTW and posting here. I'm wondering if my email to OTW prompted them to turn on the feature for my account.
