I bought a new router (Linksys WRT600N). I figured I'd take the opportunity to change up and use the highest encryption possible. I used a random WPA generator that created a 63 character 506-bit key. The TiVo accepts the key and even initially connects (so indicated the tivo wireless adapter lights anyway) but won't recognize the router as the DHCP server.
N02
No DHCP server.
A DHCP server could not be located on the network. (N02)
I thought maybe it didn't like all the special characters and generated a straight forward alpha-numeric key, same problem. I cut the key in half to 31 characters and it has no trouble connecting. The Nokia N810, N800, N95-3's, computers had no trouble connecting using even the complicated key. Could it be that TiVo's Wireless G adapter isn't WPA compliant?
What I really want to know, does anyone know the highest supported encryption key?
