Two days ago my Hughes series two spontaneously stopped being able to acquire information from the satellite. After rebooting a couple of times, swapping cables, checking that both tuners are reading transponder signals, and repeating the guided setup, I'm stumped. It had worked without any issues the last year or so, and nothing that I know of has changed. Is it possible my card get fried or something? My wife's dual tuner is still working like a champ without any satellite connection issues. Thanks!

Does her tivo work using your connections? If not it may be the wiring if so then you may consider replacing it or getting it repaired. It is unusual for both tuners to go at the same time.

Try reordering a Season Pass and see if it starts working. This what I had to do about a year ago with my T60 (series 1).

Good ideas guys. I'll give it a shot this evening. Just to clarify Rock_doctor, this Tivo can see the transponders (I didn't check all 32? of them though). Come to think of it, is there a certain transponder that is used for transmitting the satellite information? Maybe it's just missing that one for some reason but I would think it would cause the other Tivo issues. The wiring goes from a dual LNB through 2 coax wires to a 4x8 switch.
No luck with the season pass sort. It won't let me access that or "pick recordings" until the satellite thingy is finished.

What dish do you have? Your comment about two coaxes from a dual LNB going to a 4x8 switch doesn't quite ring right. Usually a 4x8 switch is used for a Phase III triple LNB dish. A dual LNB dish would work if the two lines run to the 13v/0Khz and 18v/0Khz inputs on the switch.
Another thing to try is to bypass the switch using F/F barrel connectors to see if things change.

It's the standard round one from years ago, Direct TV branded I think. I'd say maybe 5 years old. The original install was a 2x4 multiswitch but I upgraded it quite a few months ago for future use. It had been running like a champ since then. I'll give it another shot tomarrow.

How are you rebooting? Are you pulling the plug or just rebooting with the remote? Pulling the plug is a different reboot then a remote reboot. Try moving the tuner 1 coax (the sat data comes though tuner 1 only) to another place on the multiswitch.
