So when Mark was going through the dossier, there was a bit that showed him kind of stacking the papers in slow motion. In that scene, you can see the word "NICOLE" shine through one piece paper. So does that mean Nicole is the Mole, or was that a red herring (maybe the other papers in the dossier had other contestants names at the top).

I saw it, but if it was a dossier, why would they have anyone's name on a piece of paper? Also I could have sworn with I played it on slow motion it looked like the word nicole was digitally added.

If that's a planted clue (digital or otherwise) I wish I hadn't seen it! No way I want Nicole to be anything but a loser.
I would also hate to think that the one clue I've seen this summer lets me know who the Mole is. I really wanted it to be a surprise.
The bomb challenge was good. Maybe not as good as the final challenge in season one, but still pretty good.

Oh and I also like Omarosa, she was entertaining, but Nicole I hate! Also the sound at the first commercial break someone slowed it down and put it in reverse and posted it here:

So, no one was eliminated last night?
No, which is standard for the next to final episode of the "The Mole."
The final episode will reveal the winner and the mole and then recap the season including what actions the mole did (and did not) take.
I really believe that Craig is the mole, but I am fearful that Nicole is. Ideally, Mark wins, Craig is the mole, and Nicole goes home empty handed! :D
Watching the next to the last challenge, I think Craig's help was a tip that he may be the mole. Previously, the mole has been more help towards the end (the last challenge) and wanted to help add money, unlike earlier in the season. Craig just "conveniently" found the map and "conveniently" figured out the clock on the floor?
For the last mission, I don't think Nicole sabotaged it as much as she figured she could not beat Mark, so why try. Her getting to the finish line wasn't going to add any money, so why try.

So, no one was eliminated last night?
No. The next show, they will reveal the winner and The Mole and have a reunion show. They wil show us what The Mole did to remove money from the pot and any clues hidden within the show as to the identity of The Mole.

If the Mole's identity was in the dossier, I have to believe it was digitally added for us.
It would not make sense to give the player the exact identity. If that were the case, there would be no need for all that paperwork, they could just give them a sticky with the Mole's name on it.
If Nicole is the Mole, I will be shocked. She had me fooled the whole game.

I'm just the exact opposite - Nicole "could" be playing for the cameras while the Big O is pure evil. I do like Nicki-cole a lot less than I did initially but she has a long way to go to get into Omarosa's league.

Did you catch that Nicole's mother called her Omarosa? :D
Also, in one interview segment, Nicole was wearing a necklace that had a charm (or whatever you call it) hanging from it that was triangular with a little circular type of thing in the middle. It reminded me of the all seeing eye and pyramid from the back of the $1 bill.

No way the dossier flat out said, "Nicole is the Mole." The producers wouldn't just hand it to Mark that easily. If anything the dossier has the mole's thoughts about all the players in it.
I'm still thinking its Craig. Any chance that if Craig is the Mole, he purposefully didn't make it to the bridge in time? Who would turn down an extra advantage like that in the final quiz??? Yeah, the extra $75k in the pot would've been great, but what good is it to you if you don't ensure you do everything in your power to ace that quiz? So Craig waits for someone else to show up to the bridge first to take the dossier and he doesn't look suspicious at all.

My impression of the dossier is that it was more answers to questions. The questions on the quiz are very difficult. What number from left to right was The Mole in the picture taken after Fruit of the Luge? Who remembers stuff like that? You might know exactly who The Mole is but don't have a clue to the answer. I thought the dossier wouldn't name The Mole but would say The Mole was xx person in this scenario. From that, you should know who The Mole is. At this point in the game, the players all know who The Mole is. They are just playing along for the camera. Mark didn't need to be told who The Mole is, he needed information like the above to answer the quiz correctly and quickly.

Silly question. but
I thought there is a total of $500K available. If Mark didn't take the dossier that's an additional 75k, bringing the total very close to $500k, yet more was lost due to mole-like and mole behavior.
So do they cap it at 500, or could more be earned?

I will be happy with any outcome as long as it does not involve Nicole winning or being the Mole. If she wins future seasons will be unbearable with every contestant acting Molish to get their Nicole moments.

I think they adjusted money amounts to try to get it as close to 500k without going over in the end. Like in previous episodes some players said we get so much more for doing some simple task but this tougher task we get so little, that is sadistic.

I want to know where Craig got his idea that Mark kept "$165K" out of the pot? I understand the 75K for the final challenge (but I think any of the 3 would have done the same thing), but where is he getting the rest from? Also is he counting the money Mark almost single handily won?
..... like that they are playing for 420 thousand!
I caught that too. Why would the producers bother to round to an even number. A check is a check, right?
My feeling is that the 420 is a clue of some sort. Perhaps an area code or maybe one of the three mentioned pot in an earlier episode or something. It just seemed to werid to me. I don't get rounding in this situation.
For instance:
Highways:
Interstate 420
U.S. Route 420
Florida State Road 420
New York State Route 420
Ohio State Route 420
Pennsylvania Route 420
South Carolina Highway 420
Tennessee State Route 420
Farm to Market Road 420 north of Beaumont, Texas
And get this:
Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code also used in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan has become a slang reference for a confidence trickster. Such criminals are called 420 in popular culture in those countries.
A 420 is a person acting fraudulently to cheat somebody out of their belongings; a confidence trickster. Section 420 of the Penal Codes of both India and Pakistan cover such activity.
And on the origin of the pot term:
Although there are many explanations for the origin of the term, one stems from a story about a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California in 1971. The teens would meet after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana at the Louis Pasteur statue.[1][2][3] The group was known as "The Waldos" because they would sit against a wall[3] and became popularized in the late 1980s by fans of the Grateful Dead.[4]
Perhaps this last one could be a reference to the last mission. Wasn't it Nicole who lied down next to a statue? Or was it Mark who sat down? I forget......

That caught my attention too. In my opinion, Mark has probably single-handedly added the MOST money to the pot. Yeah, in the end he kept $75k out of the pot, but anyone would've done that to get a one-up on the quiz. I don't know where Craig is figuring for the rest of the money. And, yes, a lot of tasks involved Mark stalling for time, but most of that time his stalling was able to catch mistakes and win challenges.

At this point, doesn't everyone generally agree that the host role worked out ok? Sure, I though Anderson was great, but John did just fine in my book.

There were a couple of challenges where Mark just refused to even start. The one with the clothes and then the one where Craig got to choose which costumes each contestant had to wear. Plus I guess you could add the money from when he shot people in paintball.
My money is still on Craig as the mole though. He was a lot more nimble in last nights episode than he was all season...
I'm not 100% sure about it. I could see how it could still be Nicole. She could have cost them money the last few challenges, but Mark was able to figure things out. The one thing I've always wondered about is when Craig got sick. If Nicole is really a doctor wouldn't she have helped him? And been with him all the way to the hospital? They made it seem like it was pretty serious. Also if Craig was faking as most people think wouldn't Nicole have a pretty good idea he was just acting?

The full quiz is available here:
http://abc.go.com/primetime/themole/index?pn=quiz
But one question caught my attention:
Question 18: Which of the following facts did the Mole highlight in their player application?
Went to Thailand after tsunami
Hates people who complain
Has a 143 I.Q.
I'm guessing this information was in the mole's dossier. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the only question the dossier helped on, an it was probably mixed in with a bunch of other information that was not useful for the quiz.
Assuming both remaining players know the identity of the mole, a one question advantage is significant.

Craig also seemed to stall an awful lot in the "money bomb" challenge when they had decided to cut the purple wire, he had the cutters poised, and kept trying to raise doubt about whether that was right or not.
I will be REALLY surprised if Craig is NOT The Mole. And although Nicole doesn't bother me like she does some people, I would like to see Mark win. He seems most 'deserving' (if there is such a thing) the way he played the game.

I agree with you. With the questions they ask, you could know who the Mole is and still get the quiz wrong. I bet the Dossier had things like "The order of the players in the XXX task from L to R where...." That way they will have that information for the quiz. I highly doubt it actually had any additional information as to who the Mole is.

I think they adjusted money amounts to try to get it as close to 500k without going over in the end.If they do this, what is the point of finding the mole at all? The other thing is since this is all post edited then maybe they let them win as much as possible and then recorded the intro voiceover when they knew what the pot was near, but to me that be stupid since I think they should be competing to win whatever the total amount is but the mole is of course removing money from that pot. Just had this thought. So many of us wrote off the possibility that Nicole was the Mole after her antics in the first episode. However, it's entirely possible that the producers knew that they'd have a tough time getting ratings for this show and wanted to have something in the first episode that would be "water cooler worthy" to try and increase the buzz factor. If that's the case, getting their Mole to act completely outrageously would be one way to do it. It was definitely the major topic of conversation in the thread for that episode.
Just a thought. I still think it's Craig, but I'm hedging my bets just a little.

I had said before that that is the only way I would say Nicole was The Mole was if she was told by the producers to act very molish right from the start. I still doubt it is her but she would be my 2nd guess.

I am still gunning for Nicole - 100%.
In the bomb mission, she got several of the times wrong for the cities. Mark is the one who caught it. This is something the producers would tell the mole ahead of time on how to sabotage the mission.
If Craig is the mole, why would he help them in that mission to find the map and to point out the clock with the laser? I don't think the producers feel sorry for the players and tell their mole to help them win more money. Sure maybe to go easy on them and not sabotage as much, but to help them?
All I will say is this. If Nicole is not the mole, she is the worst non-mole ever. She has single handedly kept a lot of money out of the pot. At what point do you stop trying to act like the mole and keeping money out of a pot you are trying to win? I suspect her because even when there are no other players around to try and misdirect - she still acts like the mole.
Oh, and during the quiz, Nicole's voice over was saying that the mole shouldn't be looked at as a bad person, just someone doing their job for the producers. Why say that?

Edit: I will add, that if it turns out to be Mark or Craig as the mole, then I have been duped by good editing of the show. :)
Another thing about rounding to 420. 4+2 = 6 which is the number of letters in Nicole's name. Don't laugh, they did similar stuff in previous versions of the mole for clues.

Also, in one interview segment, Nicole was wearing a necklace that had a charm (or whatever you call it) hanging from it that was triangular with a little circular type of thing in the middle. It reminded me of the all seeing eye and pyramid from the back of the $1 bill.Did it look anything like this? http://www.markdefrates.com/images/aalg.jpg
If so, it's from AA and probably was a sobriety token. 1 year sober, 5 years sober, etc.

Just got caught up thanks to the Fox Reality Marathon this weekend.
I vote for Craig as the mole and hope Mark wins.

I'm sure the producers give the mole all the information and the mole can choose what to do with it.. so Craig pointed that stuff out so he wouldn't look mole-ish, so Nicole & Mark would not vote for him, and therefore lose.

The mole has said in previous missions that they just can sabotage every mission. It would look too suspicious plus there would be no fun in watching a show where the winner got no money.
Agree about Nicole, unfortunately she will probably inspire other future contestants to adopt the same technique in hopes of winning.
I would not be shocked if either Craig or Nicole is the mole. Mark would be the biggest shocker and the best Mole to ever play the game. I never have thought once Mark was the mole and that is the point of being the mole.

I definitely agree with that! I guess we will find out tonite!!
I wanted to add.......
At this point, doesn't everyone generally agree that the host role worked out ok? Sure, I though Anderson was great, but John did just fine in my book.
Jon did all right, but I didn't really think he was a great choice. He was a sports anchor in Chicago for many years, and he just seemed like a different person in this host role. A bit unnatural in his tone and speech compared to what I was used to. Of course, people who haven't seen him much might not get that impression, but I was a bit distracted by it.

Since I am not a sports fan or located in Chicago, I had no idea who he was. I thought he did a good job.

Yeah, it's not even that I thought he did a bad job or anything, just felt like he was playing a part...like he was acting. Just was a little off for me. But no, he didn't do badly.

He wasn't acting when he showed that he was PO'd at Nicole for not getting the picture right during the last mission!

The way she behaved there seemed like she was the Mole and figured that she had nothing to gain by doing work, she decided to goof off. Not to "be the mole", but just because she was employed by the show and just didn't care.

I would think they would have wanted the mole to win the race and get the case. Then they keep money out of the pot and no one gets to see the moles dossier. Nicole could not have done less molish behavior in that event if she had tried. She knew she would have to race against Mark to win and she knew that was impossible. She also knew Craig knew the city and she had no clue to her surroundings. She decided early on that she had no shot to win so she just screwed around and gave up. She trusted who she thinks is the mole and saw nothing to gain by trying to win.
