hdvr2 setup

Hello I have a hdvr2 just got it from ebay my old reiver i had 95 west and 101 hook up by a switch for the internatial staions the reciver got hit by a rain storm and lightning and its dead. with this reciver hdvr2 it has 2 sat hook ups. how do i hook the 95 west and 101 do I need the switch? or just run 2 sat cables one from 95 and 1 from 101 direct to the reciver thanks
