At the half way point, when Angie went up to Keesha's room, the editors inserted the door sound from Yahoo Messenger. Or maybe AIM. Weird.

Maybe Memphis is a sweet natured guy who got his heart broken like he said before. Then when Jerry called him a womanizer, it really hurt him. How does Jerry know who Memphis really is?

If that's the case, then why flip out and get belligerent? If you're a sweet natured guy, you don't fly off the handle like that. True colors.

Kind of a spoiler from live updates, but not really:
Jerry has been saying this for the past 2 weeks, and has been saying it often to pretty much anyone who will listen. It seemed to me like the other HG's were basically like "I don't think Jerry really knows what that means." I think Memphis finally got fed up with it when he heard it said to his face.

I am thinking Dan would be the best America's Player in terms of doing what we want and being able to succeed. I think Jessie would be the funniest, especially if he won HOH and he had to throw away 20k because we told him to nominate Michelle and Memphis.
And screw Jerry not knowing what "womanizing" means, it doesn't seem like Memphis knows what it means either. Obviously it is open to a pretty broad and wide definition... but I am not sure even the worst incarnation of it deserves that kind of reaction.

I gotta say the best America's player would be Renny. She's so annoying how couldn't it get out of hand quickly. I've never voted in any of those things but I may have to this time. She's such a kook watching her put the moves on someone or getting into bed with someone would be hilarious.

It just seems selfish to keep Jessie up on the block. The guy had lost 6 pounds.
That might have been the line of the season, until Memphis used "It just got real here!" as fighting words.
This season was kinda boring until people started flipping out over nothing. Things are fun again.
I love how Jerry didn't move a muscle while someone had to be restrained from coming at him. I actually thought he started napping immediately after the womanizer comment for a second there.

Outside of this game...not a big deal, but in BB it is simply trying to call someone untrustworthy or a "playah". I'd be pissed too.

jessie's diary rooms sure were creative editing. Hard to tell exactly when he did them but you can just tell they werent 'right after' the event in question they cut away from.
If anyone watched the 2 coreys, memphis is just like haim. Why care what an old man says about you anyway? Oh wait, not mature enough just to ignore it. Renny/dan sure have it made with all the attention away from them.
and jessie's speech made no sense even in the context of big muscle man. He just must have zero upstairs. Could anyone maybe translate it for me? The talking about himself is getting more comical by the week. And for K to actually believe J is just nutso...i think she really believes one person more than the other and thats plain silly in this game.
is the HOH room permanently locked or does she just keep it locked?

Just because this is considered a preview of upcoming episodes since it was shown as a banner (tv term for the edges between commercial and show)
America's Player is just for 1 week and the HG selected has a choice on doing it or not. I wonder what extra incentive they get for it

It didn't really say that. The four who were outside didn't see exactly what it said. However, it appeared to say "We <3 Libra", or something close to that. Jesse et al were clearly shown to make up the "Libra is a liar" message they claimed was on the banner.

I was surprised how the competition turned out. Usually, the tendency is to think more time has passed than actually has. for everyone to have overcompensated was a little strange. I would like to know exactly how long everyone was under the water.

I though that was odd too, since in his introductory video on the first episode that's basically how he identified himself. Unless "I've been playing women for money my whole life" is somehow a more noble way to put it......

I swear that Memphis has mentioned a woman customer buying him a car before.
I'm voting for Dan to be America's Player. I think Jesse might be the most fun to screw with, but I'm afriad he take it as America must like him the best....and I don't want that.

I was going to vote for Dan too, but I like him and don't want to mess up his game. So I voted for Renny. She is already crazy, so any weird actions coming from her wouldn't be out of character.

Yeah, he bragged about that in his introductory video too. Oddly enough, he was one of the houseguests who said they didn't have a car & won the car competition.

No, they spent about 2 minutes talking about it, explaining it, and running the phone number and house member to vote for. It was pretty glaring.

I wanted Ollie originally, but he seems like someone the other HG's would suspect... so I think Dan is a better choice... seeing that he's quiet, the HG's will blame someone else if they are hit and run type tasks

I hate it when a comp is basically luck, not skill. Who can tell time without help?It didn't have to be luck. You had three from Jessie's alliance, three from Keesha's. Keesha got out first, so someone from Jessie's should have immediately gotten out after her. If anyone from one alliance got out, match it from the other one. That way his alliance would "always be winning". The stipulation "without going over" makes that a nearly-foolproof strategy.

keesha got out at ~21 minutes and they said the rest stayed in at least 15 minutes over the hour mark:eek:. putting in the worms and then the compost really screwed up any of their attempts to try and count their way to an hour.

Actually I think people when asked to count time and do so in order to receive a prize or not be punished overcount for whatever reason. I know if I did it I think I would count normally but only count 75% of the way and then be done.
The did something similar on BB UK where the entire group had to count out an hour. Each one of them were responsible for 5 minutes. The third or fourth person way overcounted, like counted for like 9 or 10 minutes, and everyone else knew it. So the people after her undercounted to make up for it. Even with that they collectively came in at 1 hour and 12 minutes something.
I think in our every day lives we tend to underestimate time, so people seemingly kneejerk the other way when they have to do it for real.
I just did a quick check and doing it as I might think is right I got 1 minute 12 seconds when counting to 60. Then i tried to cut it by my 25% rule which got me to count to 45 at 53.8 seconds. I guestimated when I first thought about it to cut it by 20-25%. However if you can't go over 20% would be cutting it too close, that is why i thought 25% would be better.

Of course, the houseguests had no way to check their accuracy like you did. And if you were only off a little bit each minute, by the hour you would be way off.

But, sigh..., I'll play along:
Seeing it for myself and looking at pictures of it on jokers and elsewhere it pretty clearly says (backwards because we see the back of the banner) "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ??????? WE <heart> YOU" The only part you can't make out is the 7 letter word in the middle. The only people in the house with 7 letters in their name is Memphis, but nobody thinks that's right because the first letter doesn't look like an M. So the current speculation is that it's either a nickname for somebody in the house or it doesn't have anything to do with Big Brother. It was Renny's birthday on Tuesday so it's likely that it a nickname for her.

It is looking more and more like the banner actually had nothing to do with anybody in the house and was just a happy bday announcement for some random person. Good for the other alliance trying to use it to their advantage.

It was a great idea to come up with on the fly...and even [seemingly] before they could all collectively come up with the same story to make it plausable, they had even some home viewers believing it! If I were in the house and asked each of them individually, I think I would've believed the collective story.
Too bad it didn't work. There's something wrong with Kesha's wiring or something. Yes, I understand you gave this woman your word...but Libra's not going to do a signle thing to help her in this game.

Which is a good theory and all...if that person's NOT connected to you. Whoever isn't evicted tonight will want to go after Kesha...it wasn't Libra that put them up on the block. Yes, they want Libra out but Kesha just painted a big bright target on her back too.

Yeah, but my thought process is if she would've put Libra up, the other HGs wouldn't be so worried about her breaking her word to Libra. I think they would be relieved to get Libra out and be more forgiving to Keesha for putting up Jessie and Angie. And then maybe the focus would shift to getting rid of Jerry and/or Renny.

I just don't get the value in the idea of her putting Libra up vs keepin it the same or backdooring Memphis. Especially when you know that those 3 are in an alliance. And Libra is part of yours. I don't see the logic when ppl say that she should get rid of her. In a pro vs con debate where is the con in keeping her vs any of the other 3 players?
