View Full Version : Black Gold on TNT?

Does anyone know what happened to "Black Gold" on TNT? This is a reality series on drilling for oil, and roughnecks in the oil patch. It's actually a TRU TV series, but it was being rebroadcast on TNT about a week after TRU showed it. I had my SP set for TNT (rather than TRU) as TNT showed it in HD.

It's still showing on TRU, but hasn't shown in a while on TNT. :confused: Besides the obvious (it ain't on anymore), does anyone know why, or what happened? Can we expect it sometime in the future?

No, I didn't even know it showed enough eps to be cancelled...It looked really cool but I missed the first few because of other commitments but I do want to check it out. How was it?

It was actually pretty interesting. The characters (especially the rig bosses) were fun to watch in action, and the roughnecks were... well, they were roughnecks, which means they have a "live today, #$%@ tomorrow" kinda attitude.

I'd start watching the TRU version, but I've missed too many. :(

They replay it past episodes on tru enough that it should not be a problem to catch up. I liked that it was on TNT in HD but I see no upcoming episodes scheduled. I don't know if it was a filler they were playing to get you to tune into TRU or not.

Thanks. I think I'll set a "record all" SP on TRU, and wait until it gets all of them, and start the watching over . . .

I seem to have gotten all of the episodes so far so I must be watching this on TRU whatever that is. (Ever since I got this fancy Tivo thing, I am not as conscious at to what channel programs are on.) :)

I enjoyed it. I didn't know anything about oil rigs and I found it very interesting. A lot of hard work done by pure strength and skill. There is little automation on these rigs.

I was checking thefutoncritic and noticed it is going to be on again so I wiil SP it.
