Wireless Broadband for S3 ibook

I have a series 3 Tivo and want to get rid of my phone line. I also have a wireless router that blankets my house with Comcast high speed internet. My computer is a MacBook. I've been reading here and other places on the net and can't seem to get a good idea on whether wireless is possible for me and if so what I need to buy. Can anyone advise me? Thanks!
