I'm excited for this to start!

Not really sure I understand what the story is supposed to be about. Can we talk spoilers here? Spoilers about BSG and its relationship to this, of course.

There really is no "start" unless they pick it up as a series. Remember, like BSG, it's a miniseries or TV movie first, then they'll see how it goes.

Spoilerwise I'll tag it:

The kid looks like a skinjob... so why are they so surprised when Cylons come up with skinjobs? Am I missing something?

I think they must be planning to explore how the technology and culture for skinjobs was created.

Is there an airdate set yet?

GregIt could be a situation where humans are the ones doing the cloning, and that they used her genetic material to bring her back from the dead. Cylons don't necessarily have to fit into the picture

Hmmm ... this is not exactly what I pictured. That being said, I hated the BSG pilot movie the first time I saw it.

Thanks for the link. I don't know if I can get into BSG if there's not going to be any space battles.

Not bad! Not sure what they are going for in the series?

A lot of people will wine because they want to see people blow sh*t up and don't want to think about it.

I agree,. It looks like a snooze fest.

This looks like utter crap.

I agree as well. I kept waiting to see something interesting.

Also, I'm sure it will, but from this, it doesn't look like it even fits in with the current universe.

If they are going to tell us that Adama had a first wife with a daughter that got killed or simply had a daughter with his one wife, I'm going to be pissed.

LOL...because the current crapfest it has turned into makes you think more??

Sorry, but give me the greatness that was the first two seasons. Not the rambling incoherent mess it became. Don't act like it is deep, when it really isn't.

I think I'll skip it.

That was Joe Adama, it sounds like. The famous lawyer dad (to Bill, grandpa to Lee) that wrote all the books.

At least I think.

It has to be Joe. Unless, of course, Bill got acne later in life. :)

I'll probably check it out but the dreck that BSG has begun doesn't make me enthusiastic for how good it will be.

IMHO..
I don't think prequels of tv series make alot of sense. Too many continuity story lines to keep straight. People want things to progress, not regress.
If a series wants to tell a story about its history, you do a back story episode, not a whole series based on it.
I think they need to take a look at how well Enterprise was for the Star Trek series.

And we know how important continuity has been to the BSG writers to date.

It looks like they are planning on airing this in December.

Polly Walker (Atia from Rome) *and* Paula Malcolmson (Trixie from Deadwood)

I'm so in.

No, the teaser doesn't look promising. But I'll give it a shot.

Yeah, it doesn't look good. It looks like a bad "A.I." rip-off.
