I set up a wishlist with PAID PR* as a title keyword. It is limited to 5 epsiodes because it is the most ubiquitous title on TV.

I set it to record "all with duplicates" and yet recording history says the [wont record - same program in last 28 days] thing.

It does record Teleworld Paid Programming, which has TiVo content that gets recorded anyway in the background for showcases.

Has anyone tried this? Is this some special case that TiVo purposely leaves out?

I have to ask. You really like to record "Paid Programming"? What for?

I was trying to catch an infomercial that I only caught part of before. It involved the founder of Passages, an addiction rehabilitation center in Los Angeles. It has an 85% or so success rate compared to the typical 15% for most rehab centers.

If you actually want to record anyway, can't you request such in the recording history(or upcoming shows) by selecting "record anyway". Of course you would have to do this for each upcoming episode.

I replied to this but it seems to have disappeared.

I should not have to do things manually on a software driven device.
I just found out my Series 1 TiVo will do this correctly.

Actually I would like to record only channel 16, but Tivo does not have that option.

With a Dish DVR you can set a Dish Pass, which works like a wishlist, but it allows you to chose one channel or all channels.

Can't you do a regular season pass for "Paid Programming" on the channel you want (selected from the Search by Title menu)? In the recording option record all including duplicates.

Oops - Never mind. The Season Pass option is not showing when using the Search by Title menu.

the serie 2 must have been "upgraded" to use different criteria to determine if it is the same 'episode' It seems that the guide data and series 2 combo see all the "paid Programming" as the same 'episode' and thus the 28 day rule is applied. Do you have the season pass set to record all including duplicates

That has been an oft requested feature for Wishlist that I would find useful as well. The typical resposne on the forum is that you would use a season pass for one channel ;)

Paid programing, no matter how you bring it up, never has a season pass option. That's why I had to use wishlist.

Both Series 1 and 2 see all instances as the same episode. I have both set to All (with duplicates), but Series 2 only picks up Teleworld Paid Programming.

If I record a big block of channel 16, then I would have to download it and chop out the part I want. But actually recording a bunch in a row from Browse by Channel is easy. Just press select three time in a row (with a wait needed) and the down arrow to highlight the next one.
