I have 2 HD Tivos, 1 was updated with new software. I only use them for OTA and the 1 that took the update I use Cable 3 for an input from a DVD rf input. After the update the guide shows 2 ch 3's and no other channels. I went to setup and I only see ch 2 and 3 in the setup. So I did a new scan and found 22 channels. When I went back to the set channels I still only showed ch 2 and 3. However I typed in 04 and then the rest showed up. So I tagged all my channels and went back to the guide and the guide only shows the 2 channel 3's unless I hit another channel like 19 then the rest show up. But now there are 3 ch 3's 2 at the top of the list and one at the bottom of the list and I cant roll through them. In other words when I get to the top or bottom I have to go back. I also noticed that the guide is about 1/2 the speed as the other one without the update. Its very sluggish.
If I remove the ch 3 from the selection the guide then rolls around and there is no Ch 3 there but the channel select still only shows Ch 2 and 3.
The other one remains as it has always been.
Any idea on whats going on and how to fix it?

You've got to be a lot clearer. Things that don't make sense (to me):
- The Tivo HD doesn't have a "Cable 3" input, and you couldn't feed an RF input from a DVD player to a Tivo HD anyway.
- "I went to the setup" - which setup specifically?
- "top of the list" - what list? The guide? The channel setup?
- "the guide rolls around" - what does this mean?
- "channel select" - what does this mean?
- "there's no Ch 3...still only shows Ch2 and Ch3" - how is this possible?

Any RF modulator output can be fed into the cable In RF input of the Tivo HD. Then whatever the RF modulator channel selected (in the OP case it's channel 3) you can tune that channel on the Tivo to record it's signal. It's about the only way the TivoHD can record from another box.
I agree with you that the OP post is very confusing however... And why one would want to record the output of a DVD player to a Tivo is beyond me as well given other more effective and lossless means of doing so.

klyde, in your Guided Setup are you specifying both antenna and cable as inputs or antenna only? I think you will need both to do what you are doing. If you already have both I would still suggest re-running guided setup again.

How many DCD players do you know of that have a tuner and RF output? Maybe a DVD Recorder, or a VCR/DVD combo. But still.....?

Ok sorry about that.
I have a Coolsat 5000 connected to the rf input not a DVD. . Its the only way to get a signal into the Tivo to record.
There is only 1 setup screen to add and subtract channels and only 1 to scan channels. So I went to the scan channels setup (messages and settings/settings/channels/channel scan) and rescanned the channels. Next I went to the Add/remove channels setup (messages and settings/settings/channels/channel list) and this is where I only saw 2 channels 3's and no other channels. I also re ran the guided setup. However I fixed the problem by rebooting the Tivo from scratch and now everything is where it should be and I only have 1 channel 3 and the guide rolls past 3 and starts over. This was all ok until the new update about 5 days ago. Sorry for the confusion.
