Searched the FAQs and the threads for awhile. Please forgive if this has been covered. I've had an HD for awhile now and I love it. Had an S2 for about 6 years, still using it 'til '09. I recently added the dreaded Tivo approved WD 500g esata drive. I did not notice this problem before the drive addition. Didn't notice it right after the addition, so I don't know if its coincidental. Recently I've been losing the blue video after watching for awhile. If I go to standby, wait, and then power it back up, it's good for awhile. But then later it happens again. The loss appears to be random in regard to time. I'm connected through a Denon theater receiver via component video @ 1080i. Anyone else?

I have the same thing.

I found it only occurs with the component video signal. Switching to HDMI fixes it up, but in that mode I have to use my stereo amp for the audio (my monitor has DVI input, stripping the HDMI audio.) Generally I prefer the monitor's built-in speakers for everyday use.

After a time, the component video is working normally. Not sure what triggers the red-shift...

Cheers,
-jd.

I assume you have checked the component cables to be sure they are snug. If one comes unseated it could cause this.
