Will there ever be a fix inplace to show Itunes music as playable? It take a lot of time to convert music in order to play it on TIVO.

Try Dan203's audio plug-in. Look for the top sticky in the Tivo/Desktop/TTG forum. I've found it works for a medium number of .aac files, but anything more than a few thousand will choke it. But it's a great tool [Thanks again, Dan!].

That will only play unprotected AAC files. QT Fairtunes I can't find a copy of anymore and I did see some other programs out there but I don't know if they work. I tried one program that was "free to try" for 30 days but it converted my tunes for only the first two minutes! Then I tried something that "scrubbed" them that seemed to work but now all the titles have "scrubbed" on them. I didn't like that either.

Good thing I back up.

I agree, it's a pain to have to remove the DRM. So I buy everything from Amazon.com in MP3 format. If it's not available there I actually buy a CD.:)

And Dans tool works fine on my old converted AAC files.

I still have I-Tunes but I rarely use it. I don't have an Ipod. Mostly I use it if I want to burn a CD.

I use Rhapsody for a few months & a DRM Rhapsody Ripper program.

If it isn't on Rhapsody..then it isn't available other than as a CD

Absolutely not true. Amazon.com as I said in the post prior to yours has digital mp3 downloads that do not have DRM protection.

I use AMAZON too. It is awesome. All files are in .MP3 format and 320 Kbps. Same price as Apple Itunes, with NO DRM and better quality.

I love my Ipod, but have no idea why anyone would buy music in the APPLE Itunes format.
