I read on page 21 of the manual that I can use the pause button to add a " .
I tried that and it didn't do anything. I want to add a wish list for "Heroes" so that it will ONLY tape a show with the name Heros. And will not tape a show named Hogans Heroes.
Thanks

Add a wishlist with Heroes in title and Hayden Panettiere as an actor.

Wishlist UI has completely changed since 9.x I think. Throw away that chapter of the manual and learn the new way yourself. The screens are quite easy to understand.
I checked online and the manual seems to describe the old way.

Even with "the old way", quotes around a single word didn't do anything. They were only useful for multiple words, (e.g, "Action News" would only find that exact phrase, but if you didn't use quotes it would find everything that contained the words Action and News)

There is a easy way to do what you want to do. Go to "find programs" on the main menu. Then select wishlist search. Then select create a wishlist search. Then select "keyword." Type in "heroes" and then select "save this keyword and add another." Then type in "hogan*" (make sure to include the asterisk after the n in Hogan to make sure that the apostrophe s will be recognized by the Tivo) and select "save this keyword and add another." Then select "done entering keyword." Then select "keyword" which now lists heroes and hogan*. Select Hogan* and press the thumbs down on the Tivo remote. A negative sign will show before the word hogan*. Select the -hogan*. Then select "done creating this wishlist search at the top of the menu. This will now create a wish list that will record all shows with the word heroes but excludes any show with hogan as part of the title.
Although this may seem slightly confusing in print, it is fairly easy to do on the Tivo itself. I use many wishlist's with the asterisk and negative sign to have the Tivo record only the desired shows. As an aside, this technique can be used to tape any show from a certain decade. For example, 197*and sitcom keywords will tape only sitcoms from 1970-1979.
Good luck.
P.S. A very easy solution is wait until Heroes is going to be broadcast again and simply create a season pass.

Yeah, once they introduced Advanced WishLists (with the NOT operator) and the * in 9.x, the quotes went away.

The trouble with wml1950's solution is that it will still catch programs such as Higglytown Heroes. Unless you add -Higglytown your wishlist. Which you will have to do with any show that has Heroes in the title.
The way I did my wishlist was set the title keyword as Heroes and the category as Sci-Fi. This (fingers crossed) should only record NBC's Heroes and not Hogan's Heroes, Higglytown Heroes, etc. Unless there is another sci-fi show with heroes in the title. So far it has not recorded anything. We'll see what happens when Heroes starts airing again. I'm hoping the Sci-Fi Channel or NBC will air reruns.

G4 is re-running Heroes. I found this when I was trying to provide a solution to the OP.

Can't say, I just saw a boatload of upcoming Heroes episodes when I did the wishlist.

According to the Guide data on the Tivo website, it looks like a 2nd season marathon on 7/26. I'll have to remember to check my Wishlist tonight. If it's not tagged as Sci-Fi then I'll have to figure out another way to filter it.

Just add one of the actors/actresses to the wishlist.

I just checked my wishlist and it didn't show any upcoming programs. The category is listed as Drama, Paranormal. I guess the best way to do it is to add one of the actors like andyf suggested.
