I have an HDVR2 with a dead power supply.
I found a standard Series 2 TiVo (TCD240040) at a thrift store, and swapped it out and it's working fine now, however Weaknees site doesn't show them as compatible. The main difference looks like the main capacitor has half the wattage rating.
Does the HDVR2 really need that much more power? Am I just going to burn this one out?
(A $10 thrift store buy was worth the test to me considering they're $69 on Weakness...)
