2 TiVo HDs with random playback issues.

Sometimes two or three time a week or sometimes once or twice a moth the units will both (not at the same time) get stuck during playback or live TV. It still records everything while in this state but I can’t watch anything. Sometimes I can change the channel a few times or skip ahead and then back it will start to play again but most of the time I have to reboot them and then they will work again, for a time. It’s been like 6 months now and each time I think it’s not going to do it again but then… :( Is this a known issue and will I have to get them replaced?

I am having the same problem with my tivo, a dual tuner HD. It will stop in the middle of playback and will not continue.

I have the same problem with my 2 HDtivos, it happens during live tv and recorded tv. Once a week I have to restart them.

As I understand it TiVo has acknowledged a software problem with version 9.3 affecting TiVoHD boxes which may or may not be fixed in 9.4 that they have begun to roll out now.

They have also stated that there is a hardware problem with many S3 units which cause a lockup/reboot problem but haven't said what they intend to do to remedy the situation.
