I have a Series 2 Tivo and I'm trying to connect it to a wired network. I already had the motorola router (time warner) and a netgear hub connected. For the tivo, I bought a TRENDnet TU2-ET100 Ethernet Adapter. I went through the steps of unplugging the power cord of the tivo, connecting the Ethernet adapter to the hub and then powered the tivo but it seems that data is not transferring. I also tried to connect the tivo directly to the motorola router (without the hub) using the Ethernet adapter but this was unsuccessful as well.
I understand that when I go to Tivo central to the Phone & Network Setup page there is supposed to be an option that says "Edit phone settings & network settings" but mine only says "Edit phone settings"
Anyone knows how can I get this connection going?
My phone service is with cable service provider so I need to connect through a network. Just to clarify, I did run the guided setup already. This is for regular maintenance connections.
