searching for signal

I have a series 2 Tivo. When watching it, all of a sudden, it said"Searching for Signal on: Basic Cable In.
I have tried restarting it twice to no avail. Any suggestions?

That means that the TiVo isn't receiving a signal on the channel it's tuned to. Could that channel have gone off the air or is your cable service down?

Also caused by weak signals.
