I have a Tivo HD. With a comcast Multistream card in it. All the channels work just fine. I can watch them. But, several of the channels on the guide say "to be announced" all the time. While other channels work have all the data. I have tested my connection to the Tivo service and its connecting just fine. I've restarted several times. It has been like this for over a week since i had it installed. It connects and downloads nightly. Still don't get guide data on several channels. Has anyone had experience with this? I read something about having to tell it what line up you have and where you are. I have no idea how to do that.

HELP!

My DiscoveryHD channel has been like that for weeks. I need to fill out the Tivo form (http://www.tivo.com/setupandsupport/programguidesandchannels/Reporting_Lineup_Issues_to_TiVo.html)to get it corrected I guess. Just haven't gotten around to it.

What does http://www.zap2it.com/ say for your channels? They get their data from Tribune, same as Tivo.

Just checked, and for me, they have the data for my missing DiscoveryHD channel.

I'm having trouble with 50+ channels. so i know its not just a matter of the data not being available at all.

Well in your case, I would rerun Guided Setup from the menu.

In fact, I would run it once choosing some bogus zip and perhaps OTA only (instead of cable). Then rerun with the correct information, just to be sure it purges everything.

Ok this makes sense now . I think the cable guy just slapped the card in and made sure it was decoding. I dont think he ever went through the setup for the lineup. so i bet its still setup for where i used to live. Ill go through this and see if it fixes it.

I had this problem on my HD Tivo last night. All of the movie channels and most HD channels had To Be Announced. I forced a couple of network connections but nothing changed. Even called TiVo support and they had no answer either. I reran Guided Setup and it added 24 hours or so of data then I forced a network connect and it downloaded the full guide data. I plan to watch over the next few days and check periodically to see if it continues to update all channels.

I have the exact same problem you do except it about 120 channels most of my favorites too. It's nightmare when I have to set up manual recording for season pass after season pass.

Anyway, just got off the phone with technical support. Made sure she new right away that I tried every possible solution from redoing the guided setup to restarting a dozen times. They told me this is not entirely uncommon and that they just have to request Tribune to force a refreshed line up download to your box. Took care of it while I was on the phone and told me it should fine within 5 days.

Hopefully it works out ;)

I had the same problem when I first got my tivo HD (and having it again now, as my hard disk crashed). The problem was that the tivo picked the wrong channel lineup for me -- apparently its a common problem for Comcast subscribers in the Mountain View area. There is a step in the guided setup that allows you to manually choose the provider/setup. Unfortunately I didn't see it during my setup, and now can't find any other reference to it :( (The lineup escalation folks left me a voicemail on how to get to it, but, its long gone from my archive. I knew I should have written it down.)

Don't you need to press Enter on this screen to go to the advanced setup?

I trying it now, because my dang DiscoveryHD still says To Be Announced.

Edit: Well that finally fixed it! :) Now to go uncheck the dozens of channels I don't receive again.

I have 1 Series 2 and 1 Series 3. The Series 2 is all "To Be announced" on every channel. The Series 3 is fine. I'm in the same boat.
