Another great episode now that we're three episodes in and things seem to be gelling rather nicely.

Ida's becoming a quick favorite in our household. Hope we get to see Sensei Ping again. Absolutely hilarious.

A few favorites:

Israeli Museum Curator: "(in Hebrew) Are you a product of the Kibbutz movement like me?"
The Middleman: "(also in Hebrew) A man asked me that question once. I kicked his male reproductive organs into his watch pocket. Now he must check the time whenever he wishes to copulate."

Wendy: "Uh, Sensei Ping…"
Sensei Ping: "That is my name. Do not wear it out." (I ROFL'd really hard on this one.)

And how about that Clan of the Pointed Stick, one of the societies of paranoid celibate martial artists?

:D

What a wild and crazy episode!!!!

I loved all the time zone nonsense and the translation of English into Spanish subtitles.

Yeah, that was awesome.

Did you notice how the camera lingered on the (pointy) ends of her wooden brushes when her boss was mentioning them near the end? Hmmmm....

I loved all the time zone nonsense ...

Quoting this blurb from TV Squad (http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/07/01/the-middleman-the-sino-mexican-revolution/):

Even the little goofy things like giving us the time from different time zones each scene change, and not necessarily a time zone that we're in. But in each case it's relevant to the plotline. We get Shanghai time when we're in a Chinese restaurant for example.

I missed the tie-ins completely, and have since erased the episode. Anyone catch any other connections (or am I the only one that missed them all)?

I hope we get see more of Tyler Ford. He was a fun counterpart for Wendy. Are Wendy and Lacey ever going to refer to the Middleman as anything other than "Wendy's Boss"? I don't care if his character's name is supposed to be a secret, but they need to call him something even if it is just "MM."

Sexy Boss Man! :D

This was, by the way, the second of the three comic book series. And the third one they can't do until the end, so they're completely on their own now.

But considering that last week's "completely on their own" episode was as good as the other two, I'm not worried.

Busboy and WW had an awful lot in common ... what are they odds they will have more in common than they think, like say, a father who disappeared under mysterious circumstances?

I got an additional vibe from him. Them meeting felt too coincidental, as if he was trying to get to know her, because she was close to the current Middleman.

I do remember that one of the time zones they listed was Greenwich Mean Time. Another was Zulu time (which for most practical purposes is the same as GMT).
But I don't remeber what was on the screen when they used that timezone(s).

No, but I did recognize him as Mani from Brotherhood of the Wolf.

This was a pretty good episode. Natalie Morales is very nice to look at, especially when she's got the glasses. Which is kinda funny to me. She doesn't wear the glasses when she's in the MM outfit, but does out of it. Like it's a secret identity thing and it's a homage to Superman. Or making fun of him. Either one. :)

I hadn't noticed this. I'll have to look for it tonight.
