Mine attempted to record, but there was a problem with the video. Had nothng to do with Tivo, there was something wrong with Dish for those 6 minutes. So yes, the SP will record it.

I almost deleted this from the TDL thinking it was a repeat. Good thing I checked the program data and saw it was only 6 minutes. How many of these is FX doing?

I was watchin TV and saw the message come up asking to change the channel to record..... man it was GREAT to hear that opening song again. I can't wait for full episodes.. It was really good though to see all the boys back together.

I guess I am the dissenting vote here. It was cute but it did not do anything for the story line at all. I know you cannot do much in 10 minutes but Star Wars the Clone wars did a lot with 10 minutes.

I don't think any of these are meant to "advance the storyline." I think of these as the guys, just being the guys around the firehouse. I think it's meant to "whet the appetite" for the show, but if you miss them, you don't miss out on the plot.

They should be on the fx website. I'm at work, so it is blocked for me but I would start there.

You should be able to use VLC to view the episode in that format. Might have to grab a codec to do it, but I've gotten a few 'things' in MKV format and my Mac obediently launched VLC (which I downloaded long ago) to play them.

I can watch the MKV on my PC without a problem.
I'd just prefer to be able to transfer it to my Tivo.

I tried converting it through WinAVI, but it came out with sound and no video.

I'll probably end up watching it on the laptop, I was just curious.

Personally I hope they don't try to advance the overall storyline. I'd much rather see the guys being guys. That's what made the show so fun for me. Watching a group of guys saying guy things and talking about absolutely nothing.

I don't want to waste those 5 minutes listening to Sheila bitch about wanting to steal Janet's baby. Or Janet bitching to Tommy about Sheila. I want to be entertained. We better see more of Uncle Teddy!

Last night's was much better than the first, IMO. Of course, seeing Janet nearly undressed and about to kiss Sheila is much more appealing than listening to White Sean talk about taking a sh*t.

I had the same problem and found out that Pytivo converted them and was able to transfer them to Tivo. It was so easy.

I think there was a new Rescue me this past Tuesday, but we only got 6 minutes recorded. When I look at next Tuesday, the scheduled recording time is only 6 minutes again (10:00 to 10:06). I can't "see" the beginning time at 9 or 9:30, so I'm guessing it has an odd starting time and that's causing the problem. Anyone else seeing that? BTW, I'm on Comcast in San Jose, CA.

These are minisodes, not entire new episodes. So yes, they're only 6 minutes. Full eps don't return until 2009.
