Just wanted to remind fellow Futurama fans, the second of the series of Futurama movies is coming out Tuesday June 24th.

The Beast with a Billion Backs (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00158K0V0).

I already got mine on order from Amazon...can't wait! :D

Is it on Blu-Ray, or just DVD?

This release is for standard DVD. I haven't heard any news about them coming out with blu-ray versions...but Amazon seems to have a feature where you can sign up to be notified if it becomes available.

ETA: That's just for Bender's Big Score though.

It has already been leaked, including a bonus episode from the DVD.

As much as I would love more Futurama; Groening's interview in Wired last November suggests that the DVDs end the show for good. I still hold out hope that Comedy Central will finance new episodes for broadcast. (why else would they spend so much to buy the air rights away from Adult Swim?)

Just realized that next year marks Futurama's 10th anniversary. Albeit with only 70-odd episodes and a few DVD movies produced.

Thanks for the heads up. Had no idea this was being released now.

It was not as good as Bender's Big Score, but it's still Futurama. :)

Exactly! I much more prefered Adult Swim have the rights to air it. I have to believe Comedy Central did it for a reason OTHER than just so they would have the rights to air the DVD movies broken up into 4 segments.

Agreed...

Yivo? What's up with that?

A little disappointing. But yes, it's still Futurama. Beast is a rather strange allegory about love- and I'm not sure if I agree with the closing message. And it's hard to shake the Hentai-tentacle-porn association.

Loved the Deathball sequence though. I still have one of those 30+ y.o. mazes in my attic somewhere.

Bender's Big Score showed up on Comedy Central.

Will this one be on TV as well?

Yup. Comedy Central has the rights to air all the direct-to-DVD movies (of which there will be a total of 4).

I liked it, cause it's Futurama, but I thought it was too long. I could have ended a couple of times earlier than it did and I would have been more satisfied I think.

The pacing of this one was WAY slow compared to Bender's Big Score. There just wasn't enough plot to justify the running length. This could have easily been a 30 minute episode.

I didn't like this one as much either.

I did like how they showed the characters for each voice actor in the credits. Geez, Katey Sagal only does one voice? :D

I thought this was quite boring all the way through. I think there was only one part where I even smiled, much less laughed (and I can't even remember where it was now.)
