Anyone still watching Swingtown? I am still enjoying it although I was disappointed that last night's episode was only shown from the viewpoint of Susan. I hope the show does not start to just revolve around her, interesting as she is.

I'd like to see scenes that show the other characters perspective.

I enjoy the music, Me and You and a Dog Named Boo, haven't thought of that song in years.:)

Times sure have changed but I remember in the 60s, minor children could pretty much come and go as they please. So the sixteen (seventeen) year old daughter (she must be between junior and senior year in high school) could be alone at night in a locked library with her teacher and come home at dawn and la de da, no problem.

Not to mention the girl from next door sleeping in the sons bed and no one realizing she is even there not to mention the son just leaving her there alone.

The show, perhaps unwittingly, really does bring out the flavor of childhood in the 1970's when it shows the free range the children have. I think that is the most accurate part of the show.

The show appears to still be getting decent ratings, I think it had about 8.3 milion viewers week before last.

In my family alone, four people are watching it, husband (57), sister (44), me (51), and my mother (77). Funny how we all vividly recall 1976 but from our own perspectives. My husband was 26, single, and living in San Francisco. I was a 20 year old college student living at home. My sister was a 12 year old and my mother was a 46 year old, married with five kids, ages 20-12.

We all look for the parts that relate to our own framework.

I had to quit. I have two tuners and there was another program on at the same time. I guess I will watch it in DVD if it goes beyond this season.

It streams the full episode on the cbs web site if you're interested.

I really enjoy this show (esp the music) even if it does make me feel a bit dated. :-)

I'm enjoying it but I still see "Steve" from Coupling whenever Jack Davenport is on screen. If you listen carefully he sometimes drops briefly into his real British accent. It doesn't help that his squeeze on Coupling was also named Susan.

For some reason, I don't have the same problem with Susan, aka Alma Garret on Deadwood.

The show's a good reminder of how terrible the clothes were in the seventies.

The period of this show pretty much pre-dates the 18-34 demographic, naturally it's on CBS.

I was 6 in 1976, so I can barely remember this time period. Certainly I don't have any frame of reference for the very adult stuff from then! Good lord, I hope my parents weren't swingers! I'm guessing no, my mom's never even been drunk. :) But I still like the show. I'll keep watching.

I also see "Steve" from Coupling whenever Davenport is on the screen. It's weird.

I had predicted episode 4 for when the kid amd the teacher first hook up. Missed it by *that* much. :)

I haven't watched this ep yet, but this is just a summer burnoff show, right?

When the kid and the teacher showed up, my first thought was -- I guess the actress is over 18, since it's obvious she's going to do the teacher.

With the way CBS was promoting this show up to launch, I doubt it was intended to be a summer burnoff. We are thoroughly enjoying the show, by the way. Each episode has gotten better and better.

Interesting to note that Lana Parrilla, who plays Trina, the cute brunette swinger wife of Steve Decker, had also played on LOST in the episode "Through The Looking Glass" where Charlie was held captive in the Looking Glass Station by Greta (Lana) and Bonnie.
