Any recommendations for the following config?

I want to use the same monitor for my PC and a Tivo in a home office/gym I am setting up. Both applications are secondary locations- my primary PC work is done on a laptop, and I do most of my TV viewing in the living room. (The Tivo is required to keep me going on the exercise equipment!)

The Gateway FHD2400 monitor seems to fit the bill, as it will do high-resolution PC modes, and also 1080i. (I know it is a 6-bit monitor, but it will suffice for this environment - I just don't want to use two monitors.)

OK so far. I am looking for speakers for both the PC (iTunes, etc.) and the Tivo (for video viewing). I want speakers that can take both inputs, AND has a remote control for volume for which I could train and use the Tivo remote.

I thought the Altec Lansing FX4021 was perfect, but I just talked to their tech support and their wireless remote for those speakers is not standard IR, and a learning remote can't replace it.

Any suggestions for a speaker set that would work?

Thanks

The TiVo's audio outputs will be line level and will need to go to a receiver and amp, or at least to self-amplified speakers.

I'm also wondering how you're planning to feed the TiVo's video output into a computer monitor.

Yes, I should have said the speakers would need to be powered speakers (for example, the Altec Lansing FX4021 speakers would have been perfect, except for they have a proprietary remote control).

As I mentioned, the Gateway monitor has HDMI HDTV inputs, capable of displaying 1080i signals.

Unless you're talking about the TiVo HD or Series 3, no TiVo can output its video that way.

If you had such a TiVo in mind, you might do well to ask about this in the Series 3 forum-
