Pretty simple question - is it possible to set up a wishlist to record only in HD? And if so, how?

Pretty simple question - is it possible to set up a wishlist to record only in HD? And if so, how? Yes. Under Category select HD.
Keep in mind that some programs even though they air on HD channels and may actually be broadcast as HD will not be tagged as such in the guide and therefore will be missed. To work around that problem one solution is to create another identical wishlist minus the HD category filter, and assign lower priority to that wishlist than your HD one (assuming you are going to make both auto-record wishlists).

Yes. Under Category select HD
OK. As it happens, my question is not as simple as I thought. I've got a wishlist setup for the Detroit Tigers. Most (about 100) of their games are in HD, but they're also run in SD. The rest are just in SD. I would like to set up a wishlist that gives preference to the HD channels (so that if given a choice between the HD and SD airings, it chooses the HD...at present it chooses SD), but also doesn't eliminate other SD airings.
Is that possible?

Well, based on your post .. it seems that there are specific channels that run the games in HD, and the SD are aired on others ... If this is true .. and its possible to isolate a specific program title on the HD channels, you could potentially set up one or more Season Passes for those games . and put them at a higher priority than the Wishlist you have now.
If that's not the case, then perhaps an additional Wishlist (placed at higher priority) that includes the HD setting mentioned in the first reply of this thread.
I could see situations where this could lead to both tuners recording the same game .. HD & SD ... but that seems to be more ideal than missing the HD one.

I set up two separate playlists - one for HD and one for SD (I still want to see some of the other Tigers programs that come on the regular Fox Sports channel) - and put the HD higher in priority than the SD one. Seems it would be pretty simple for TiVo to ask for a priority (HD/SD), but at least there's a work around.

That's all that I found that works. I had to set up dual-wishlists set up for soccer and hockey (and coming soon, football). I couldn't find another way around it. Since moyekj recommends the same thing, I see that at least other users have the same issues/solution.
FWIW, the TiVo seems smart enough to know not to record the lower priority program even though it is on a different channel. I haven't exactly thought long and hard, but I suspect that is because the guide data tells TiVo they are duplicates and my WishLists are set up to not record dupes.
I'm pretty happy with the solution but I wish there was a way for TiVo to link an HD channel with it's SD analogue and record "HD" feeds from the former and all other programs from the latter. My biggest complaint about the THD is that it will record a SD program on an HD channel (instead of it's SD counterpart) when I'm not using dual-wishlists and burn my precious hard drive space (I really need to get an extender).

I think the dual-wishlists are basically the best idea. I have an interesting dilemma being a Cubs fan where I haven't yet figured out an ideal solution.
WGN is the main broadcast source for the Cubs. I also get MLB Extra Innings (since I'm in Madison and so we get Brewers telecasts as the "local" market, and Charter doesn't pick up Comcast Sports Net). And, of course, I'd prefer HD broadcasts when possible, since WGN America (formerly Superstation; gawd, I hate the new logo :) ) doesn't yet broadcast in HD. WGN has a substantially better picture than MLB Extra Innings most nights (not to mention I prefer the Cubs announcers), so I prefer the WGN broadcast to the MLB EI broadcast when available.
Basically, my preference goes as follows:
1) Record in HD
2) Record off WGN
3) Record off MLB Extra Innings
My initial thought had been one ARWL for the HD with highest priority, a Season Pass for WGN with second priority, and a second ARWL for SD with lowest priority. As was stated above, the TiVo sees the programs as duplicates and only records from the higher priority wishlist/SP.
Unfortunately, we have two problems with this.
One is that if ESPN or ESPN2 picks up the Cubs broadcast (thus putting it on ESPNHD or ESPN2HD) on a night when WGN is already scheduled to broadcast, the HD wishlist kicks in but the game gets blacked out, so we get a nice HD-quality recording of ESPNNews HD (which, ironically, we don't receive). (Apparently we're close enough to Chicago to be "local" for MLB purposes but not close enough for Charter to pick up CSN like Time Warner and Mediacom do. Ugh...)
Also, WGN plays White Sox games as well, so the MLB Baseball season pass for WGN picks up the Sox games, which is somewhat annoying. (I haven't tested to see whether a Cubs game on MLB EI and a Sox game on WGN will both record if at the same time, but the Sox game would get higher priority, so any conflicts would bump out the Cubs game.)
As far as I can tell, there's no way to setup the wishlists or Season Passes to do exactly what I want. Right now, we're going with an HD wishlist and an SD wishlist, which doesn't always accomplish preferences 2 and 3 (record off WGN in preference over MLB EI) and still has the occasional blackout problem from ESPN picking up the game on short notice. If I could specify keywords for a Season Pass (to filter out the Sox) or a preferred channel for an ARWL (to give WGN preference over MLB Extra Innings), I'd be golden except for the HD blackout issue (which I could work around with setting duplicates to record and just accepting that I will miss an occasional game).
Anyone have any thoughts about how to deal with my situation? I think I can't do any better than I currently am without the ability to specify logic between Season Passes and ARWLs, but hopefully I'm just missing something.
(Sorry for stealing the thread; since we're both talking about baseball and how to get games to record as desired, I thought I'd try to see if anyone has any ideas about my setup. :) )

Note that there is one annoying side effect to the dual HD, no HD wishlist method: HD recordings end up in 2 separate wishlist folders in Now Playing List with folders enabled (since they satisfy criteria of both wishlists). Also you get a bunch more "Will Not Record" entries to wade through in your To Do List history.
