Title is different then the show..

I have quite a few different season passes. In my Now Playing list I have 6 episodes for Sex and the City and 5 episodes for Friends.

I went to watch 2 of my Friends episodes and they were both Sex and the City episodes even though it stated it was Friends.

This seems to be happening more and more and I'm not sure why. Any ideas to what is happening, or how to fix this? I have a new Series 2 DVR.

Either the schedule is screwed up, or, if the TiVo is controlling a cable box, it's not changing the channel properly.

The most common reason for the schedule to be screwed up is a live sports event overrunning its time slot.

I don't have any type of box other then Tivo, and I never record sports events. Not sure what is going on..

Check your To Do list and pick a likely suspect - watch live, if possible, and see what's happening when the recording kicks in.

... I never record sports events.It's nothing to do with what you record, just with what airs on the same channel before the program you scheduled. Like so:

Scheduled on Channel X:
5:00-7:00 The Big Game
7:00-7:30 Sex and the City
7:30-8:00 Friends

What actually aired on Channel X that evening:
5:00-7:30 The Big Game
7:30-8:00 Sex and the City
8:00-8:30 Friends

Result: a "Sex and the City" recording labeled "Friends".

Of course, these overruns tend not to happen in neat 30-minute chunks, so you'd likely see the end of one program and the beginning of another instead of just an entire, wrong program.

:confused: We are new Tivo people, we have had it a couple of weeks, I like soccer and the soccer channel is 211 on our cable system. The list will say "Sky Sports News" which is what I asked for and I will get an hour of nothing, or sometimes an hour of PBS which is channel 11, one time I got the Bill Cosby show from a different channel. This is driving me insane. Sometimes the Cable system drops us from the higher number channels which would explain an hour of nothing, but why does it record PBS? I have no earthly idea why it recorded the Bill Cosby show. For every 6 shows requested from the Soccer channel I would say I get one show which is what I requested. Any ideas would be appreciated. World Cup qualifying is starting soon, it is what we wait so long for, I will be heartbroken if it doesn't work. By the way other shows on other networks it seems to do fine on, the Soccer channel that I like is a crap shoot. Thank you.
