Nope... People have been asking for that in their TiVo's ever since the Series 1 unit.

There are many ways to estimate how much space you have used, or how much is free. Here are a few....

1. Use TiVo Desktop to view the contents of whats recorded on your unit. Add up the file sizes of all the programs recorded. Then add that amount by 50gb for overhead. That will tell you how much space is used on your drive. Subtract that amount from your total HD size to give you free space.

2. Look at your "Deleted Items" folder. That will give you a hint of how much is free. The higher number of shows in your deleted items folder, the more free space you have. If you start getting down to only around 20 to 25 shows in your Deleted items folder. Then your getting low.

3. If you have suggestions turned on.... The amount of suggestions recorded & still available for viewing will show how much space is left. The TiVo will delete those as needed to make space for required recordings.

4th and probably the BEST way (Just not the cheapest) to make sure you always have space.... Is Use TiVo Desktop & setup auto transfer AND add a 500gb esata DVR expander to your TiVo HD.
