Yes call me a nerd a geek or just a lover of SciFi. But Cox in OC Cal now has added SciFiHD and it is not SWITCHED and a few other HD channels. Also I saw a post that cox has the tuning adapter coming out at no extra fee.

Cox Orange County had already sent us a letter related to SDV a few months back probably before the tuning adapter was known to them so there were no such promises for our area. Hopefully this is corporate policy that will apply to most/all Cox locations, but we don't know that yet.

Is it worth it to drop DirecTV satellite for Cox cable in OC?
I would hate to jump from the frying pan to the fire...
I happily get all the broadcast networks OTA with an attic antenna and wish I could simply have a digital/HD only package for the major 'cable' stations.
