It's very seldom there anymore on reruns. For example "The Tonight Show" currently a rerun.

A few months ago, the "Tonight Show" repeats were labeled as such in the show description. Not anymore. I have to look at the Yahoo guide to find out whether the shows are reruns.

Since the latest update, the original air date is being shown in the show description.

At any given time, about 95% across all channels is repeat programming. So it is much easier to flag original airings. Even this does not always happen - see my multiple recordings of "The Daily Show" and "The Andromeda Strain"

I use too rely on the original air date, but found that has been wrong twice this week already.
