View Full Version : TiVo calling people with newly activated TiVos

A nice young woman just called me (from TiVo) to welcome me to TiVo as I just activated a new (additional) TiVo a few days ago. She wanted to know if all was going well and if she could be of any help to me. She also told me the CS hours are going to be expanded. TiVo use to send an E-Mail with a welcome, now they are doing both. As I was not a new customer of TiVos I would think TiVo would want to spend that money on only first time TiVo users, but it was nice of them anyways.

that is a nice gesture, but

If the stock price sinks any lower, i will be expecting a tivo rep comming to my front door welcoming me. :)

It's far closer to the 52 week high than it is the 52 week low.

I would rather NOT be called. Time and money should be spent on solving real TiVo problems.

Yeah, because I'm sure that the person that called Les could just put down her phone and jump into the lab and whip up clear QAM tuning for your S3. :rolleyes:

Seriously, this is a good move on Tivos part - I'm sure that it's probably done by CSRs that aren't fielding calls at the moment, so the time and money investment is minimal, for a whole lot of customer goodwill. It's that kind of move, combined with their participation in forums such as these, that really shows how Tivo is head and shoulder above its peers in taking care of the little guy.
