OK, so we finally got a new HDTV in the family room.

We've been using 2 FIOS boxes on our Tivo Series 2 on our old CRT TV.

Now the setup is:
Samsung Plasma 50" connected to FIOS HD DVR (HDMI)

How should I go about hooking up the TIVO?

Its probably stupid simple... but I dont know how to keep the HD the way Im figuring it out. I dont care about recording HD stuff either thats why I havent bought an HD TIVO.

Thanks :)

Hopefully you kept one of the old FIOS boxes to feed the Tivo. Otherwise you'll have to get one back.

You'd split the cable, one end to the HD DVR (which connects straight to TV using component or HDMI), other to the non-DVR cable box, connected to the Tivo just as you did before.

how do you split the connections from a hdmi cable? or do you mean to use the HDMI-TV and like RCA to the TIVO? I still have 2 fios boxes, cept one is HD now

Split the coax cable from the wall, to feed the fios boxes. There is no connection between the HD-DVR & the Tivo; it runs parallel to it.

wall -> splitter -> HD-DVR -> (HDMI) ->TV
|-> 2nd Fios box -> (RCA AV cables) -> Tivo -> (AV) -> TV.
