Can pyTivo & TTG coexist together?

Is it possible to have TTG (downloads) and pyTivo (uploads since TTG is buggy) exist installed together on the same machine without conflict or problems?

Pet peeve: TiVoToGo is the name of the functionality, not the program. What you mean is TiVo Desktop.

They should be able to coexist, because pyTivo uses a different port and different GUID. It's been a while since I tried it, though. What I'd recommend, instead, is to use the built-in web server interface on the TiVo for TTG. Just go to https://x.x.x.x/ , where x.x.x.x is your TiVo's IP. The account is "tivo", and the password is your Media Access Key.

If you don't like that, there are several other alternatives. You can even extract through pyTivo, now, if you enable KRKeegan's admin plugin. (But note that it doesn't give you a status indicator.)
