I thought this show was doing OK in the ratings plus they brought it back for a few more episodes this spring so I am surprised. Thought it was a decent Friday nite show and liked the different spin on Vampires.
Sad to see it go.

BURN CBS BURN!!!!!!!
Noooo! I loved the on-screen chemistry that Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd shared.
To be honest, I haven't been watching for the past 20 years or so, though.

So how good is this show? I still have all the episodes. Worth watching over the summer even though I know it won't be back?

Did they really cancle it??? WTH??? I thought for sure I saw it on a renew list somewhere.
OMG...I can't believe I'm so upset. I was suppose to be boycotting this show because it was a direct ripoff of Angel but then I ended up liking it.

It started off as a throw away show I would watch if nothing else was on, then it actually got good. RIP Mick St. John.

I thought it was okay, but I'm not surprised it was cancelled. You can generally tell a CBS show. They're a little blander, a little safer and a little more formulaic than other networks.
I think they did a good job of establishing the backstory, but they didn't do a good job in developing rich or original storylines.

So is there an actual link to the confirmation of this?
P.S. Should we start sending vials of blood in protest???

Some fans did organize a blood drive in support of the show.
It *may* get picked up for Sunday nights on the CW, by the independent production company that the CW subcontracted to handle its Sunday night broadcast. But that's a really big *MAYBE*.

Wasn't there another past show or two or three even, based on that premise?

I think CW put the kabosh on that as well.

Wow...that's actually a pretty good idea. I mean, it probably wouldn't help but at least it's for a good cause.
Yeah, I saw the info on the possibility of CW picking it up. That would be nice.

Bummer.
On the plus side, I don't like Jason Dohring nearly as much in this as in Veronica Mars, so maybe his next show will be better. :D

I disagree. I think he was made for this role. He plays bad much better than he did petulant.

Forever Knight (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103417/), and maybe New Amsterdam (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0928414/) if you just consider the immortal aspects.

The show did make a probable pick up list prior to the strike. However, viewers never returned after the work stoppage was over. It consistently lost numbers from its Ghost Whisperer leadin. I will miss this one immensely. Not anywhere near as much as Journeyman. But a lot.

I liked how he was the mentor, but obviously younger looking. He did a pretty good job in the role, too.

So now maybe the networks will give the vampire detective/vampire good guy shows a much needed rest.
It's played out :o

Maybe, but he got more screen time in VM. And I loved his chemistry with Veronica.

Oh, so you are a troll too? His post was the definition of trolling. I personally never watched one episode, but my wife liked it so I came into this thread to read about the cancellation.
What was his intent?

Is that what they did? I wondered. I thought it was a pilot season like Hex.
Anyways, so is Blood Ties cancelled as well? I really liked CC in it.

Yes, apparently they did the entire season on spec (!). There will be no more.
