Transfers end short, 3 minutes to go

Help, I have videos that play fine on my computer and transfer over just fine and are viewable, all up to the last ~3 minutes. The system freezes and you can't ever finish the transfer. I have to manually stop the transfer and delete the file.

The system is Windows Vista SP1, 2GB of memory, quad core AMD processor, gigabit network connection to the router, 100mb/s hardwired connection to all Tivos.

This happens on my series 2 with USB 1.1, my series 2 with USB 2.0 and my brand new Tivo HD.

Tivo Desktop 2.6.1. Also did it with 2.6.

FYI, this happens with 2 hour movies and 30 minute shows equally, they all die with 3 minutes left.

These are video files AVI/DIVx that were ripped from my own DVDs.

OK, new data. My rips are all hanging in the last 3 minutes, but videos given to me from a friend transfer and play fine.

py tivo solved the problem. Same videos, no issue.

The first time I tried that it would not work, but the latests system seems to be working fine.
