According to this USAToday article, it will be back on Sunday at 10pm. Not the best of time slots, but better than being canceled.

Awesome.

Too bad that Cane isn't coming back, though.

Good, I've been missing this show!

Then again, not so good because of football... Padding will be required!!

Depends which wife and what kind of action... but yeah, hooray.

Actually I thought Sunday nights were considered the best night of the week as far as time slots go. Isn't it the highest rated night overall?

Sunday night is not as bad as Friday or Saturday. But I don't think Sunday is the best night. Otherwise, American Idol would be on Sunday :) I'm sure somebody will post some actual data to show which night is the best.

Well it depends what you mean by "best." If I understand correctly, Thursday nights, for example, are targeted toward certain demographics because of ads for movies coming out that weekend. But I do believe that Sundays get the highest overall ratings. But, I think that may simply be the night where the most people are going to watch TV in general.

I don't think it necessarily means that the highest rated show would get moved to Sundays, though. If a Tuesday night show were getting as many viewers as it could possibly get, but your Sunday night show is getting people who are just watching whatever is on, you wouldn't switch them, because you'd lose viewers on the show you move to Tuesday but wouldn't gain any viewers on the other one.

I'm not saying that I know for sure that's how it works, just that I don't think it's so simple as saying there's a single "best" night. Although yes, Friday and especially Saturday nights do suck, even though back in the 70's (from what I've read) Saturday was the #1 night of the week.

I think it's ratings might take a bit of a hit, on the east coast at least, because of football. The overruns could push the start of The Unit to 10:30-11pm

The night of the week The Unit is broadcast shouldn't matter to any of us, we're time shifters :D

One of my favorite shows, happy it's coming back!

Weren't they on Friday nights? I would think Sunday would be better than that.
