WOW. Astounding! Maybe my favorite episode of the show to date-easily the best this year. I caught the twist the minute we saw her necklace.

That has to be in the top three all time for me...and that's not only because of Lisa Edelstein's striptease. :D

That last five minutes was chilling. I can't stop thinking about this episode. Man, was that great. I'm so glad we got these episodes after the Writer's Strike!

Man, I cant believe that I didn't figure it out until she said "whats my necklace made of?" That was probably one of the best episodes ever, maybe even better than "Three Stories".

That was a kick in the head.

A+

Easily one of the best "House" episodes ever. "Three Stories" is still my favorite, but this one definitely comes close.

I agree with everyone - there's nothing better than loving TV when TV gives you something to love.

This was excellent TV. I already want to watch it again.

A+++

Awesome episode. I didn't see the Amber thing until the necklace was brought up near the end. BTW, the strip tease...HOT!. I made it through that whole scene and realized I had no idea what just happened in terms of the diagnosis. So I had to watch it a couple more times to, umm, follow the plot. :)

this was easily the best post-strike episode of just about any show on TV. And there's part 2 coming up next week... this is the first time in a long time where I will be counting down the days until the next episode airs!!

Dude, I was so into it that I didn't even get the whole necklace thing until the flash of Amber actually sitting there. I didn't even occur to me! I even told her to shut up about the stupid necklace!

This is probably the best episode of House I've ever seen. I have to go back and watch again!

Also, 13 now at least has a last name...even though I still don't remember it offhand.

Didn't he call her "Lesbian" ?

Daughter (14) called me "dumb mama" for not picking up on the necklace. Said she had figured it out almost immediately. (Smart a$$).

Wow -- best. ep. ever (for me) in spite of Lisa E's striptease - although hubby had to stop and watch that one. All it needed to follow-up was House responding when she was giving him mouth-to-mouth!:D

Absolutely can't wait for next week. And I almost didn't watch last night at all because I was working on a project - was gonna wait and catch up tomorrow.

unicorngoddess

Didn't he call her "Lesbian" ?

Yeah, but Cudy called her Dr. <last name> and I don't remember what the name was!

She also denied being a lesbian and house said he was rounding up from 50% and she didn't argue with him there. So I guess that confirms she's at least bi. Last week she mentioned dating one of the nurses on the soap opera House watches.

Does anyone else feel that Chase and Cameron should just be cut out of the show? They seem forced into situations like Chase being a hypnotist. The writers want to keep them around but really can't think of a good reason to have them there.

Okay...just rewatched and I gotta wonder.
Why was House drinking right after work?
Did Amber come to the bar to pick him up and that's why he originally saw her when Chase was hypnotizing him.
If she did come pick him up, why were they both on the bus?
Or does she not have a car and she took the bus there to check on him. Maybe he called Wilson and Amber picked up the phone.
Or was it really just a coincidence that they were both on the same bus.
But still...something had to drive House to that bar to get plastered at 5pm.
And it seems like 2 days went by...or at least a day and a half. Wilson really didn't notice Amber had gone missing???
Could they not have found Amber's purse and belongings somewhere in that bus and been able to identify her?

Again, great episode. Watching it a second time around really made me go hmmm.

One thing that I questioned was why they didn't have a photo of her but had one of every other person on the bus when they were doing the re-enactment.

I guess because she was at the other hospital instead of theirs. But if she was listed as a Jane Doe, you would think they would be trying to identify her which would include posting some sort of picture of her somewhere to try to get an id on her.

Remy usually a boy's name? (See Gambit, for you X-Men fans). She's not a lesbian, maybe she's transgendered (and bisexual).

+1 I am not sure why they are keeping them around. They could save money by cutting them without any loss in quality or viewers.

And yes, this was the best House episode ever.

She's been outed as bi, at least once and not denied it (pretty sure it was House himself.)

I'm with atrac , while I love Three Stories, this combined with Next weeks (if its as good as this weeks) will make one heck of a 2 episode block.

I also have a soft spot for the first episode with the whole room of potentials.

I thought this was a good episode, but isn't this the second time they've done the, "House is hurt, is he hallucinating or dreaming or something worse???"

Three Stories and One Day One Room are still my top 2 episodes for House so far.

they definitely wouldn't be on the bus coincidentally. buses are kind of beneath doctors.
the fact that amber was in house's flashback at the bar would imply they were at the bar together, somehow
and wilson's explanation: she was oncall... so she was suppossed to be working the whole tme, which wouldn't make it unusual to not see her for a day or two, but when he realized she didn't return his call, the wheels got set in motion.
and i'm not surprised they weren't able to id jane doe after less than 2 days... in a mass casualty accident like this... it's got to be chaos for everyone involved.

Wow. What a fantastic episode! House had gotten a bit formulaic recently. But that was brilliant! The striptease was fun, too, but those shoes she was wearing were UGLY! I wonder why House was making Amber into a smoking hot woman? And a woman that didn't belong in the setting. She was dressed too well to be on the bus but Amber wasn't dressed like that.

I was expecting we'd see people arguing inside House's head as he tried to figure out what to do:

Foreman as the smart, responsible one
Chase as party animal
Cameron as the sweet, sensitive one
Wilson as the paranoid, anxious one.

Oops, wrong show. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101115/) :D

I just watched this tonight and I loved the whole thing. I do wonder why the dark haired sophisticated woman was 'amber'. I enjoyed the way they played the scenes in his head and the whole thing was brillantly done.

I hope that Amber is not gone. She and Wilson and House do so well together.

Id gone, fine... but House, as well has the somewhat final team.. are well known around the hospital.

Weren't they going around looking at each person in trying to determine who the dying one was? Why wouldn't they have at least taken a photo of 'Jane Doe' to put in on the reenactment.

Its a little odd that she fell through the cracks at her former hospital. Especially since the episode focused on seeing all the victims.

EDIT: She was sent to a different hospital. thats why.

I wondered why they didn't check the other hospital as well. I was expecting that. On other episodes we see them just walk into peoples houses and check things out. Wouldn't connecting with the other hospital to see the patients be a step.

House just dismissed it too easily. He was looking for someone that he noticed BEFORE the bus crash but he thought he only noticed this person because they had a symptom of an illness NOT caused by the crash. So when 13 was listing off the other patients taken to the other hospital, House dismissed them as saying those are all injuries sustained from the crash. He was [wrongly] looking for someone with symtoms that would be unexplained by a crash.

Yes, her ID flew out of her purse, but I have to believe that the police were doing some sort of investigating...and while clearing out the bus they probably would've come up with a lot of people's belongings. And if there's a Jane Doe, they would use any loose IDs they found on the bus to try to identify them.
