View Full Version : Unique Tivo desktop PC listing empty

This is not the standard issue that everyone else is having.

1. The Tivo can update from the internet.
2. The PC can see the Tivo and download files.
3. The Tivo can see the PC but cannot retreive a file listing.

The problem lies within my wireless network and I'm unsure what might be blocking out the listing.

I have three tivos and all are on the same subnet and can see and transfer between them just fine. Two of my tivo's use 10/100 usb network interfaces to connect to linksys wrt54gs routers running alchemy v1.0 v3.37.6.8. The third tivo uses a usb 10/100 interface to connect to a D-Link DWL-G810 wireless access interface.

The computer to tivo transfer will work with the D-Link DWL-G810 unit but not through the linksys routers. I put in an explicit route on the routers for my PC also. The firewalls on the routers hare disabled and they are configured to allow all traffic through them.

Any ideas or thoughts would be useful.

I am having the same problem. I have an S2 and and S3. Both were fine until I upgraded to Desktop 2.7. Photos show fine, but when I look to see the videos stored on the PC the list is empty, but it has the up and down arrows as if the list is full.
They both access the network wirelessly using the TIVo wireless adaptor, and as I say everythig was fine until I upgraded the desktop software.

Same here, i finally got around to updating to Tivo desktop 2.7 and now my tivo cant see any of my video on my PC. Did 2.7 change anything i dont no about?

Make sure your software firewall isn't blocking the new version of TiVo Desktop.

on the pc i use for the tivos, i do not have a firewall, (just to make sure i just checked) :) ive tried restarting the tivo server on the PC, restarting the PC, and restarting the Tivo still nothing....hmmmm im out of ideas:confused :confused:

Check the Server Access Control tab under TiVo Server and make sure your TiVos are listed. You also might want to be sure TiVo Desktop is binding to the correct IP address if your PC has multiple network cards.
