SD DVR40/ DSR-708 HD compatability?

I'm about to replace my SD DVR40 with a HR21. I'd like to move my new 217 hour drive to my DSR 708. will this work??

Yes, but you will have to C&DE, unless it is hacked to disable encryption and other things, in which you can run a fixup51 script.

If you haven't hacked, but wish to have the look of the 708, you can move the front from the one box to the other.
