Someone gave me an older Series 2 TiVo and I was hoping to use it to stream music (.mp3's) to my TiVo (TV and Reveiver connected). Currently, I go to the Account settings and it says that my subscription is not active and I have 2 more days to call TiVo.
I have downloaded the TiVo Desktop 2.6.1 and "published" a few folders of music from my PC to the TiVo Desktop server. I am connecting the TiVo to my PC via an ethernet cable (and a Linksys USB ethernet adapter that was used successfully by the previous owner).
Do you have to have a paid TiVo subscription in order to get the "Music, Photos, Products, & More" feature to even show up on the "TiVo Central" screen? If not, please advise how I can get that to show up.
