We're two episodes in and there's no thread. So instead of per episodes threads, this show may only warrant an all encompassing one. And here it is.
When I saw the promos for this, I thought it was so bad I had to see it. I've just watched the first one and yep, it's pathetically good.
That Josie chick is an arrogant psycho. She needs to go, but clearly they kept her around past round one for the potential future drama. Of course, Stephanie did need to go, too. She had absolutely no right to be on a farm.
And Kanisha? The guy is pretty ugly. He'll be going soon, too, I bet.
But talk about guilty pleasures. This is a country bumpkin "Rock of Love." Off to watch the second episode!

How awesome is the elimination ceremony in this?? Getting the women to pick up a live chicken to see if there is an egg underneath it.
Good stuff.

Oh man, Chrysta (from NYNY) has Lisa's number. She's exactly right - that girl is a hypocrite. Her line about every skirt showing her vagina was hysterical.
I'm glad Krista (from Orlando) won the challenge. I've liked her (and her chest) from the start.
And wow, Josie continues to unimpress. She is not only one ugly woman, she's one ugly human. So full of herself and her bigotry and ignorance. Her exit speech confirmed that. And how can any human possibly think they come off looking good by demanding a departure gift? Soooo immature, despicable, and disgusting.
Quite an interesting development there at the end. Odd that the "bible beaters" were the only two who seemed to be flirting with other men at the bar. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.
On another note, Ashley is - by far - the prettiest girl there. The pickin's are pretty slim, but she's head and shoulders above the rest from a purely "pretty face" perspective.

I think they are all just would-be actresses, I base that on fact all are from large cities. If they really wanted to find someone compatible they would have cast people from smaller towns, not farmers but people who know and like smaller town life. None of these people will.

I haven't seen the show yet...it's sitting on my tivo but...
I thought I'd give you all a few quick comments I heard about the show this weekend...
I live in St Charles MO...just about 20 min from where this is filmed...and 20 mins in the opposite direction...St Louis MO. This "farmer" does not exactly live out in the "boonies". He may have lived a small town farmer lifestyle for most of his life...but he now lives right next door to a major city. In all honesty...I believe most city girls would have quite an easy time adjusting to where he lives if they truely wanted to be there (love, career, etc).
Also...I have a circle of friends that have friends and relatives from that area...a few were at the Bingo night in one of the episodes.
Appearently, very little of the farmers things are actually his....his were all too nice and modern for the producers. His boat is very nice, but you'll never see it...and the one they are using is actually a nearby neighbors backup boat.
Even portions of the landscaping is selectively avoided because it looks too nice...the lake is absolutely gorgeous with very nice, expensive, modern docks and landscaping.
Anyway...like I said I haven't watched the show yet...but it seems like this reality show, like most others is not very real at all...

Wow, I hadnt looked it up on a map before - its practically a suburb of St Louis. 18 miles from I70, 30 miles from downtown. The city girl would have a city right by to go shopping, clubbing, etc in.

Oh man, he got rid of tig ol' bitties! :(
And I don't know what he sees in Amanda. She's freakish looking. Huge teeth, hugh mouth, huge lips, huge eyes, huge eyebrows, huge forehead, huge hair, huge head. She looks like an anime drawing. Weird.
And the bible thumpers are the strangest of them all. Those girls are wack. I hope they leave soon.

Ashley is the only attractive girl in the group. But it looks like she's in for a bad night coming up next week. None of the girls are cut out for farmer life, though. Maybe the bible beaters, but they're the ones who act the least like they're into the bible. Go figure.

I'm glad they reran the first 3 eps, because I was about to cancel the SP last week (since I missed the first ep or two and didn't want to start partway in).
It's yet another cliched dating show, but one thing that I consider somewhat interesting is that the elimination is not done at the VERY end of the show. In fact, I think it's varied in where exactly it happened.
The gimmicky ways of doing the elimination (bingo game, moonshine jug(*), etc.) are stupid and funny at the same time. They're totally cliched, but still it's different.
(*) They should have put WAY more in the eliminated chick's jug. It should have been just enough to almost fill up the glass, not just a couple of drops.

I've never watched this show, but I just saw a commercial for it. It was so funny when one of the chicks was talking about a judge at a Bake Off and said "These judges, they just like Simon Cowell, for crying out loud!".
So, does this entice all AI viewers to tune in to get their Simon Cowell fix?
I'm not sure if TV programmers or audience drones are more embarrassing in this case. Carry on.

I just caught up on the last 2 weeks episodes (I haven't started watching tonight's).
The cow pregnancy thing cracked me up. But my fave was sent packing. :(
I think Amanda has the best shot now.

Welp, nevermind about the Amanda thing. I guess it's Brooke's to win now.

He just got rid of the best one. I realized a few weeks ago who she looks like -- she's like a slightly 'rounder' Carla Gugino.

The cow poke was just so disgusting, I don't know if I could have done it. I thought Amanda had it locked down but now I'm not sure which way he is going to go. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Well, like I said above, it was Brooke's to win. And she did.
This show felt quite dirty, though.

I never felt he had romantic feeling for any of them. I knew Brooke was going to win because they kept showing how mean the other one was. I'm sure some of the other girls did nasty things too but were probably not shown. If I was a betting person I would say the marriage never takes place.

I can't believe I watched this to the end - oy
but in any event - news report are the entire thing was a scam -
1) Matt had a girlfriend the entire time
2) He's a soybean farmer and not whatever they pretended he was
3) Matt and Brooke gave a series of interviews yesterday and they weren't allowed to see each other since the taping wrapped - and as far as I can tell that was last summer.
I had to roll my eyes every time any of the contestants talked about becoming his wife - i mean - did they REALLY think that was going to happen?

Hey, weaker marriages have lasted ;)
I will watch this again if they have it on.
I'm think Video Producer Wants A Wife would be a good start.

Good stuff.
I thought they should have stuck with that all the way through.

I honestly thought that it could have been CG really made up, or maybe a relative of hers.

Yep. Yucky. Both my wife and I almost threw up........"MINE'S PREGNANT!!!!" Just too gross.

Well, it does happen (temporarily usually) on things like the Bachelor. What news report did you see? paper/internet?
As for #3, that's not too strange.. I think on the Bachelor, they sometimes can have 'hidden' meetings, but for other shows, they can't see each other either.
